Entre seus principais trabalhos em filmes estão Top Gun: Maverick (2022), o longa-metragem da Marvel Thunderbolts* (2025), interpretando Sentinela, o musical O Testamento de Ann Lee (2025) e Criaturas Extraordinariamente Brilhantes (2026), da Netflix. Nas séries, se destacou em Uma Questão de Química (2023), do Apple TV, que lhe rendeu indicações ao Emmy e Critics' Choice Awards.
Filho do também ator Bill Pullman com a dançarina Tamara Hurwitz, Lewis estudou serviço social antes de seguir a carreira artística. Além da atuação, é músico e baterista da banda Atta Boy. Na vida pessoal, namora a também atriz Kaia Gerber, filha da modelo Cindy Crawford.
